This publication is a humble attempt to establish a healthy two-way traffic, by acquainting non-Indonesians with one of the most popular and captivating stories from Indonesia's rich cultural store. Though the independence of our country is fairly new, our culture is old. We trust therefore that, in our small way, we too can offer something to the cultural understanding of the modern world.
